oRDINANCE NmER 4299 •
AN ORDINANCE laying off and ere4ting an impm- vement distri
for the purpose of clearing, grading, curbing, guttering, terracing
and paving certain streets in Shadowlawn Addition to the City ct
Little Rock, Arkansas and for other purposes.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little
Rook, Arkansas.
Section 1. That the Whole of the territory lying within
the boundaries hereinafter described be and the same is hereby
laid off into an improvement district for the purpose of clearing,
grading, curbing, guttering, terracing and paving, in such manner
and with such materials which the commissioners of said improvement
the
district may deem to /best interest of said improvement district
the following streets situated .. ithin the herein described terri-
tories and boundaries to -wit:
Tackson Street, from its intersection with Cantrell Road,
at the South boundary line of hereinafter described property,
through Shadowlawn until it intersects with Park W y or Club Road;
Monroe Street from its intersection with Cantrell Mad at the South
boundary line of the hereinafter described property, through
Shadowlawn until it intersects with Park Wgy or Club Road; 813ruoe
Street, from its intersection with Cantrell Road on the South
boundary line of the hereinafter described property, through
Shadowlawn until it intersects with Park Way of Club Road; Shadow
Lane from its intersection with C ntrell Road at the South boundary
line of the hereinafter dexcribed "property, through Shadowlawn until
it intersects with Park Way or Club Road; Echo Pass, from its inter
section with Shadow Lane, through Shadowlawn until it intersects
with BeechmD od Road.
That the following described boundaries, to -wit:
Part of the Northeast Quarter (NEJ-) of Section Thirty -one
(31),in Township Two (2) North, Range Twelve (12) West,
and particularly described as follows, to -wit:
"Be inning on the North line of said Section Thirty -one
(31T, at a point which is three hundred seventy -eight (378)
feet West of the Northeast corner of said Section Thirty -
one (31), and running thence South, four (4) degrees and
Thirty -six (36) minutes West, a distance of O -e Hundred
Eighty -eight and five - tenths (188,5) feet alo$g a line whin
is parallel vdih the center line of the Beech Street Cut
Off road, and at a distance of Thirty (30) feet West from sag
center line; and running thence South, Ohe (1) degree and
five (5) minutes East, a distance of one hundred eighteen
(118) feet to a point; and running thence South Twenty -two
(22) degrees and Forty -nine (49) minutes East, Xj a distance
of one hundred twenty -three (123) feet to a point; and runnix
thence South Forty -six (46) degrees and twenty -two minutes
East, a distance of four hundred twenty -three and seven-
tenths (423.7) feet to a point, which is the center line
of Cantrell Road; and running thence South, eighty -nine (89)
degrees and forty - eight (48 ) minutes West, a distance of
eighteen hundred ninety -eight and six- tenths (1898.6) feet
to the East line of Prospect Avenue; and running thence
North, no degrees and ten (10) minutes East, a distance of
seven hundred fourteen and three- tenths (714.3) feet to t?a.
North line of said Section Thirty -one (31); and running
thence North, eighty -nine (89 ) degrees and forty -eight
(48) minutes East, a distance of Fifteen Hundred
Fifty -six and two - tenths (1556,2) feet to the point of
beginning ", being a tract of land on Pulaski Heights
and containing approximately twenty -seven (27) acres, and
which includes Lots numbered from One (1) to One
Hundred Forty -three (143)2 inclusive and Lots As, Bt C,
D, E, F, G. and H. Shadowlawn Addition , as plateds�
the Bill of Assurance and Plat having been filed for reecr
with the Circuit Clerk and R @corder for Pulaski County on
the 12th day of Marohv 19280
be and they are hereby designated as the boundaries of the said
district, and the territory
embraced therein
shall be
known as
Street Improvement District
No. 499 of
the City
of Little
Rock: Arkansas,
Section 2. That- all ordinances and parts of ordinances
here-
in conflict /with be and the sae are hereby repealed, and this
Ordinaee shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication.
