AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 4247, LAYING OFF A CERTAIN
PORTION OF THE -CITY CF LITTLE ROCK, AR'- ANSAS, MNTO A SIDEWALK
IMPROVE LENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS SIDEWALK IMPROVE-T ENT DISTRICT
NO. 4899 AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF.

Whereas, the first petition for Sidewalk Improvement District
No. 489 was submitted to the City Council of Little Rock with ten
signatures subscribed thereto, and the council passed ordinance
No. 4247, creating Sidewalk Improvement District No. 489, but after
investigating said petition it was found that in order to obtain
the required number of signatures to the original petition filed

herein, Gus Butler, owner of Lot Six (6) , Block Eight (8) of Butler's
Addition to Little Rock, a lot included in said district, did on the
3rd day of November, 1927, convey an undivided one - fiftieth (150)
interest in said lot to Ellie 0. Flake, Leslie H. Bohlinger, Lillie
B.� Hall, Leila K. Keebey, Het n K. Aipes and Idildred K. Pattibmn,rf �Q-
atnd on the same Aay said grant es reeonveyed said property to
Gus Butler, all of which was done to obtain ten signatures to the
first -petition and defeat the purpose of the statute governing the
organization of municipal improvement districts, and the submission
of slid petition was a fraud upon the council and the tax payers
in said district: THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 10 Ordinance No. 4247, laying off a certain portion
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, into a sidewalk improvement
district to be known as sidewalk improvement district No. 489, and
designating the boundaries thereof, be and is hereby repealed.
Section 2. All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed, and this ordinance shall become effective and be in force
from and after the date of its passage.
