X 0 . OTHER PURPOSES.
'Be It Ordained by the City Council of the CitiAiTtle Pock:
Section_ 1. Sections 2, 3, 4,, 7, 3 of Ordinance 2128 �Rre
hereby amended to read as follows:
a Section 2. The minimum requirements of eo.ch abattoir or other
place where animals are slaughtered for ournoses of being used as food;
exhibited for sale as food or sold for use a.--. food within the limits
of t1le cit of Little ^ock, shall consist of a substantial, suitable
building, well lighted and ventilated, and cofflprising at least a kill-
ing room and storage room. All outside doors shall be eonstructed with
vestibule and double screens of eighteen inch (1811) mesh wire.
e section 3. The 'killing room shall be of adequate size, T °ith
r- inimum measurements of 13 feet in length and 13 feet in breadth and
with cel,lings a. minimum heir -Int of 12 feet from the floor. The floor
shall be constructed of concrete not less than three inches (311) in

of atiL factory trans and duly connectedith water seals and construct-
ed in such a. manner as to secure perfect drainage; shall be provided
with both hot and cold water, to-Tether with ample supply of hone; shall

system of trolleys running from the killing room and connected with
stora e roo:-11, by which, and uy,on which, animals slaughtered can be

and other uteri ils and devices into which the blood., offal and refuse
shall be placed and iffirnedia.tely removed to the reduction or detruction
plant; the walls, eeilings, partitions and all woodwork or a. -)-oliance•s

The killing room Ph,a,ll be equipped -i.th sati ,,factory facili-
ties for c-terilizatien of all imple_eras by boiling. All implements,
instrumentG, etc., shall be tteri.lized L ,,oiling for not less than
ten mimztes t�-5-ice daily, ^.n` oftener if neces ,. _- ry. The window space
shall be not less than one - eighth (1/8) the floor space, and all
windows or other openings shall be securely cr.:vered with ein�,�, teen
inch (1311) mesh wire in good repair. All killing shall be cone be-
tween the hours of 3.0"0 A. V and 5.00 P. IF.
Section 4. The storage room shall be of adequate size with
mimimurn, measurernemts of 13 feet in length and 13 feet in breadth,
with ceiling a minimum of 12 feet from the floor, �-.nd connected with
the sewer or approved septic tank by mer.ns of proper traps and water
seals, constructed in such a manner as to secure proper drainage,
with water service so arranged alto permit flu hing and cleaning; the
Vvalls, partitions and ceiling of said roam shall be smooth,# and paint-
ed white. It shall also be equipped with overhead trolleys and track-
age, connected with the killin^- room or departr:ient, and care shall be
sufficient in heisht and cana.citti to hermit all anim als slaughtered
to be hung from the trolleys. and. no animal or portion of =a:ne shall
be placed on the floor, or permitted to rest thereon. Sawdust on
floors shall not be permitted. in the storaze room. 17indow space
