HomeMy WebLinkAbout4213ORDINANCE N0. 4 N ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS FIVE FEET IN WIDTH ON PULASKI STREET BETWEEN THE INTERSECTIONS OF SECOND AND MARKHAM STREETS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUrTCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That the owner or owners of property abutting on Pulaski Street between the intersections of Second and Markham Streets, be and they are hereby required to build within_ ninety days from the passage of this ordinance, and to there- after maintain, a sidewalk five feet in width and curbing along such property where the same abuts on the above .e ntioned street for the hereinabove described distance, of the material and according to the specifications, and in the manner outlined �f and provided for in Section 1281 of Hale's Digest of the City Ordinances of Little Rock, and subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Public Works. Section 2. Anyone failing to comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in the Little Rock Municipal Court shall be fined in any sum not less than Five Dollars nor more than Fifty Dollars for each offense, and each day, after the expiration of the period above given in which to build said sidewalks, shall constitute a separate offense under this ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage, Passed: August S, 1927- - 'ttest: City Clerk.
