ORDINANCE NO. 4175.
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING TIC CONSTRUCTION OF SIDMIALK UPON THE BATTERY
NORTH SIDE OF NINTH RUNNING WEST 150 FEET TO MIDDLE OF BLOCK AND
STREETS, THENCE
CONNECTING WITH CEPVIENT SIDEWALK-
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of property abutting on the
Werth side of Ninth Street, beginning at Ninth and Battery Streets,
thence running west 150 feet to middle of block, and connecting
with cement sidewalk, be and they are hereby required to build
within ninety days from the passage of this ordinance. and to
thereafter maintain, a sidewalk and curbing along said property
and for the hereinabove mentioned distance, of the material and
according to the specifications, and in the manner outlined and
provided for in Section 1281 of Hale's Digest of the City
Ordinances of Little Rock, and subject to the approval of the
Superintendent of Public Works,
Section 2. Anyone failing to comply with the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than five nor more
than twenty -five dollars for each offense, and each day after the
expiration of the period above given in which said sidewalks are
to be laid, shall constitute a separate offense under this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after it passage.
