Be It Ordained By The City Cduhdil =- ©f The City Of Little Rock: Section 1. All houses and places of business in the City of Little Rook lying along or abutting on Prospect Avenue from Mark- ham and Booker to McKinley Street, or City Limits, shall'be num- bered as hereinafter designated. The base from which the numbering of each block shall begin shall_b6 the north side of said block, and the residences and buildings on Prospect Avenue shall be numbered from the unit first named above upwards so as to provide one number for every half lot or every twenty -five feet as is now provided by the general ordinance of the City of Little Rock. Section 3. Every person owning or occupying any house or build- ing required to be numbered by this ordinance or renumbered under'the provisions hereof shall number t he same with the appropriate number, which shall be furnished him by the City Engineer, and shall cause F- arsrak number to be either painted upon such residence or building or placed thereupon in some legible manner, with figures not less than three inches in length, and hereafter the City Engineer, upon issa =- ing the building permit for any house or building at any point in the City of Little Rook shall at the same time furnish to such person so erecting such house or-building, or his agent, the appropriate number to be carried by said house or building. Section 4. All persons, firms, and corporations living in the area described in Section 1 of this ordinance, whose houses or build. ingo are Incorrectly numbered, shall be notified by the City Engineer as early as possible after the passage of this ordinance, of the sor. root number to be carried by such house or building and shall thereafter within a period of ten days, place the correct and proper number there* Upon. Any persons, firms, or corporations who shall fail or refuse to number any house or building of any disoription in the City of Little Rook, or who shall fail to correct said number within + r If a period of ten days after notice has %en given to such person, firm or corporation by the City Engineer, shall be deemed guilty of a mis- deaeanor, and upon conviction fined in any sum not less than $5.00 nor, more than 425.00. Section 6. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after it's passage.
