BE IT ORDAIITTED BY THE CITY COUIICIL OF TIE CITY OF LITTL=, ROCK: Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance ITo. 3803, passed Lay 25, 1925, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "From and after the passage of this ordinance, any person, firm or corporation operating such places of business as hotels, restaurants, cafes, lunch counters, soda fountains, candy or ice cream factories, milk depots, bottling works, including distilled and spring waters, bakeries, groceries, meat markets or other places where food or drink is manufactured or s "old at retail, shall obtain a certificate each gear from, the City Health Department, showing that said place of business is in a sanitary condition, provided this does not apply to places where only bottled drinks are sold." Section 2. That Section 2 of the same Ordinance be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "All employees engaged in any business mentioned above who handle food or drink must be examined twice a year and certified as free from pulmonary tuberculosis, syphilis.and all other communicable diseases in a contagious stage, except those persons who are employed in a dif ry or engaged in the handling of milk or milk products on the dairy farm, and said persons so employed or engaged shall be examined only one time each year,and said examination shall be made on the 1st day of January, of each year following the passage of this ordinance. This me&ical examination may be done by a private licensed physician who is approved by the Health Officer, or, vi ien the employee requests it, it shall be done free at the City Clinic by the Health Officer or the clinic staff; and shall include the 77assermann blood test. All such persons shall be vaccinated against typhoid once every two years, and shall be vaccinated against small pox unless they V e a satisfactory vaccination soar or a history of smallpox* h a v shall be engaged in any business who handle food No new employees have also until they have been so examined and certified and been vaccinated against smallpox and typhoid ".
