AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING TIME VALUE OF
BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE 01 M'RS
OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS, AND
PARCELS OF UND WITHIN STREET I11PROVIZIENT
DISTRICT NO. 445 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property holders owning
property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in
Street Improvement District No. 445 of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, organized for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing,
guttering, and paving Valmar Street from the south property line
of Markham Street to the north property line of Capitol Avenue,
in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners shall
determine to be for the best interests of the district, have
petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof
shall be assessed -aeon the real property of said district acccr ding
to the benefits received; and
'Ji'HEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot,
and parcel of real property situated in said district equals or
exceeds the local assessments thereon; and
17HEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is x;,16,252.50.
NON, THEREFORE, Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. Th:-t the several blocks, lots, and parcels of
real property in said district be assessed according to the assessment
list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the
office of the city clerk, and as the same may be annually readjusted
by the Board of Assessors, and that six and two - thirds (6 2113b")
percentum on each of said blocks, lots, and parcels shall be paid
annually on or before the 15th day of September of each of the
years 1926 to 1940, inclusive.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, and this
ordinance shall he in full force and effect from and after its
passage. `
