`MEREnS, more than ten owners of real property
within that portion of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkursas,
hereinafter described, have petitioned the City Council to
take steps toward the making of local improvements therein
by forming the territory hereinafter described into an im-
provement district for the urposes Hereinafter sEt out,

THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That Street Improvement District No.
438 of the City of Little Rock be, and the same is, hereby
created and established for the purpose of making local im-
provements therein by the grading, drLining, curbing, gutter-
ing and paving of Chester Street from the south property line
of Vest Fifth Street (or Capitol Avenue) to the north property
line of Vest Twentieth Street, excepting the intersections
of streets heretofore paved, all to be located and. constructed
in the places and in the manner and of the materials that the
commissioners for said district, to be hereafter appointed,
shall deem for the best interests of the district, in the City
of Little Rock in accord,.r_ce with an het of the General Assembly
of the State of Arkansas entitled, "An Act To Regulate Local
Improvements In Cities Of The First Class ", approved march
U, 1881, and amendments thereto; that the boundaries of said
district shall include all real property bounding and abutting
on the street to be improved and running back therefrom for a
distance of 150 feet.
Section 2. That. all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed,
and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, and the City Clerk is hereby
ordered, within twenty days after the date of its passage,
to publish the same in some newspaper published in the
City of little Rock for one insertion.
