ORDINANCE N0. 4059•
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ASSESSMENT OF BENEFITS ON THE LOTS AND PARCELS
OF LAND LOCATED IN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 441 OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Whereas, sbventy -five per cent in value of the owners of
real property adjoinging the locality to be affected and situate within
Street Improvement District No. 441 of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, organized for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing,
guttering and terracing, in such manner and with such materials which
the commissioners of said district may deem for the best interest of
the district, the following streets: Crestwood Drive from its inter -
section with Beech Street at the East property line of Beech Street,
through Edgehill Addition to Cantrell Road, Armistead Road from its
intersection with Beech Street at the East property line of Beech
Street to its intersection with Crestwood Drive, have petitioned the
council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction
of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon
the real property of said district, according to the benefits received,
and,
Whereas, said benefits received by each and every.16t and
parcel of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds
the local assessment thereon, and
Whereas, the estimated cost of said improvement is Seventeen
Thousand Nine Hundred Nineteen and 14/100 - - rDLLABS - ($17,919.14)
exclusive of interest charges;
Now, Therefore, Be it Ordained by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section I. That the said several lots or other parcels
of real property within said Street Improvement District No. 441
of the City of Litte Rock, Arkansas be and they are hereby assessed
according to the assessment list for said Street Improvement District
No. 441, as the same now remains in the office of the recorder or
city clerk of the city of Little Rock, and as the same may be annually
readjusted, and that 10 per centum of said assessment of the value of
benefits on each of said lots orr at-her parcels of real property
in said district shall be paid annually on.or before the f irstday
of October of each year until the whole of said assessment
shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or
before the Idt day of
October , 1926.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
