HomeMy WebLinkAbout4004f "4 2 -A " 4"N ORDINANCE NUMBER 4004 - I An ordinance to accept a street dedicated to the public, and name said street, and to change the name of "L" Street ) and give a name to a part of the River Pike West of Rose Creek to Martin and "K" Streets. Whereas, - Moorhead Wright and wife, Hildegarde P. Wright, E. E. Noss and wife, Cynthia R. Moss, and Pulaski Heights Land Company, a corporation, have dedicated to the public, by filing their plat and bill of assurance to a strip of land 49 feet wide through and across their property beginning at a point midway between the Southwest corner of Block 2, and the Northwest corner of Block 3, East Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rook and running thence Northwest in a direct line to a point which is 30 feet South of and 30 feet West of the Southwest corner of Block 4, Hillcrest Park Addition to the City of Little Rook, Ark- ansas; thence in a Northwesterly direotion to the edge of the- slope South of the Doyle Place; thence in a general Southwesterly direction gradually rising and approaching Fairview Road and South Lookout Avenue to the intersection of South Lookout Avenue, Hillcrest Avenue, and 3eech Street, as shown by a plat hereto annexed, the street being indicated by a red line upon said plat, and, Whereas, it is contemplated by said parties and others to form an improvement distriot for the purpose of improving said street so dedicated, and also "K" Street from its intersection with said improvement so indicated on said plat to its intersec- tion of 21artin Street 'and the River Road and the further improving of the River Road from its intersection of Xsr_t .n and "S" Streets to =lose Creek. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Sectional: That a street dedicated by Moorhead Wright and wife, Hildegarde P. Wright, E- E. doss and wife, Cynthia R. Moss, and The Pulaski Heights Land Company, beginning at a point f i c r� -2- which is halfway between the Southwest corner of Block 2 and the D?orthwes t corner of Block 3, both in East Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rook, Arkansas, running thence in a northwesterly direction in a direct line to a point which is 30 feet South of and 30 feet west of the Southwest corner of Block 4, Hillorest Park Addition to the City of Little Rook, Ark- ansas; running thence in a Northwesterly direction to the edge of the slope South of the Doyle Place and thence in a generally Southwest direction gradually rising and approaching Fairview Road and South Lookout Avenue to the intersection of South Lookout Avenue, Hillcrest Avenue, and Beech Street, as indicated by plat hereto attached, showing said street in red ink outlined on said plat, be accepted as a street of the City of Little Rook and that said street so described herein and indicated upon the plat in red ink hereto attached, together with that part of "K" Street beginning at a point which is halfway between the Southwest corner of Block 2 and the Northwest corner of Block 3, running thence in an Easterly direction to its intersection with Martin Street and River Pike; thence along the River Pike, as now dedleated to the public, to Hose Creek and the intersection of Lincoln Avenge, be known henceforth by the name of Valley Street.
