AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING ON THE
EAST SIDE OF THAYER AVENUE BETWEEN MARKHAM AND THIRD STREETS TO
LAY AND MAINTAIN A CONCRETE SIDEWALK ALONG SUCH PROPERTY, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any
property abutting on the east side of Thayer Avenue between
Markham and Third Streets, be and they are hereby required to
build within ninety days from the passage of this ordinance and
to maintain a concrete sidewalk along such property where the
same abuts upon the said Thayer Avenue, between the points here-
in named, of the kind and material and in accordance with the
specifications required by ordinance and within the time herein
specified; the said construction of the sidewalk shall be uhd*
the supervision of the City Engineer or Superintendent of Public
Works.
Section 2. Anyone who shall fail to comply
with the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction in Municipal Court shall pay a fin
of not less than $5.00 nor more than $25.00 for each offense, an
each day in which this ordinance is violated shall be and consti
tute a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of
ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed only insofar
as they affect this ordinance and this ordinance shall take
effect from and after its passage.
