AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS OR OTHER SUBDIVISIONS OF LAND '# ITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 419 OF THE CITY OF LIT_ TLE ROCS, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, a majority in value of the owners of real property owning real property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District No. 419 of the City of Little Rock, -arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements therein by grading, drain- ing, curbing, - uttering and paving in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners of said district shall determine to be for, the best interest of the district, the street. set out in their petition, have petitioned the city council of the City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvement and that the cost thereof be assessed upon the real property within said district according to the benefits received; and, WHEREAS,said benefits received by each and every lot, block and other subdivision of land within said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and, WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $161,273.20; THEREFORE, IT IS NOW ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That the said several lots, blocks and other subdivisions of land within said street Improvement District No. 419 be, and they are, hereby assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the city clerk of the City of Little Rock, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the board of assessors and that six per eentum (6 %) of the said assessment of the value of the benefits of each of said lots, blocks or other subdivisions of IV real property in said district shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of June of each year until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or before the 1st day of June, 1926. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Passed February 22, 1926.
