BE IT ENACTED BY TH3 CITY C OUNC IL OF THE CITY OF L I TTTI-E ROCK, ARKA NSA S :
I'Uf?ER AS more than ten ovmers of real property in that portion
of the City of Little 'Rock in the State, of ,Arkansas here in&ft ,,.:
described have petitioned the City Council to take steps toward the
making of a local improvement in said city by forming said territory
into an improvement district for the purposes hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THER CFO_ 1E, be it ordained btu the City Council of the
City of Little Eock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That all of the real property described as follows,
to -wit:
The South One -half of Blocks One (1) , Thirty -four (34) , and Thirty-
five (35), Original Oity of Little Rock, the South One -half of
Block One (1), Pope's Addition to the City of Little Rock, the
North One -half of Blocks Two (2) , Thirty -three (33) , and Thirty-
six (36) , Original City of Little Rook, and the North One -half of
Block Eight (8) , Pope's Addition to the City of Little Rock, all

be and the same is hereby laid off and formed into a local improve-
ment district for the purpose of making local improvement therein by re-
paving, grading, and repairing +mast Markham Street from its inter-
section with ruin Street to its intersection with Commerce Street
and for the purpose of grading and paving that part of Scott Street
lying north of 'Nast Markham Street, commonly designated as North
Scott Street, from its intersection with 'past Markham Street to a
point one hundred forty feet north of the north side of Last Markham
Street and part of Cumberland Street lying north of East Markham
Street, commonly designated as North Cumberland' Street, from its
intsreeotion with East 11arkham Street to a point one hundred fbi
feet north of the north side of East Markham Street and part of Rook
Street lying north of East Markham Street, commonly designated as
North Rock Street, from its intersection with Last 1.1arkham Street to
a point one hundred forty feet north of the north side of East
Markham Street in the :

hereafter to be appointed may determine to be for the best in-
terest of the district and the improvements to be of such
material as the commissioners hereafter to be appointed shall
determine to be for the best interest of the district except
that the surfacing and resurfacing of said streets shall be

binder course, or such other paving material as the commissioners
to be appointed may select, and that said district be designated
as Street Improvement District I10._ 39of the City of Little 'Rock,
Arkansas.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
