AN, ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY
THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS, AND PARCELS OF LAND
WITHIN STREET IMPROM ENT DISTRICT NO. 435 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property owners owning
property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated. within
street Improvement District No. 435 of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements by
paving with concrete, or with such other materials and in arch man-
nor as the commisai oners to be selected may deem for the beat inter-
eats of the district, the following streets: Kenyon Street, from
the West line of Rose Street to the East line of Elm Street, Rose
Street from Kenyon Street to North Lookout Avenue, and Fairview
Road from South Lookout. Avenue to Kenyon Street, have petitioned
the City Cca.ncil of Little Rock, for the construction of said im-
provements and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real
property within said district according to the benefits received; and,
WHEREAS, said benefits received -by each and every block, lot
and pk reel of real property situated within said district equals or
exceeds the lcc al assessment thereon; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement, exclusive
of interest, is $11,000.00.
THEREFORE, It is now Ordained by the City Council of the
City -of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section That said several blocks, lots and parcels of

they are hereby assessed according to the assessment list for said
improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the
city clerk of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, and as the same

may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that eight
{8 per centum of said assessment of the value of benefits of each
of said blocks, lots and pa reels of land shall be paid annually

on or before the lot day of may of each year for the first nine
years, and ten (10) per centum for the tenth year, or until eighty -
two (82) per centum of said assessmept shall have been paid. The
first annual payment shall be made on or before the lot day of

Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in

conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
