ORDINANCE No. 3948 .
AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A PORTION
OF TI-DO CITY OF LITTLE ROCK INTO AN
IMPROVEIMNT DISTRICT TO BE KNO'i'M
AS SIDEIVAIK. IMPROITEI:ENT DISTRICT NO.
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK10TSAS.
,MAS, more than ten owners of real property in that
portion of the City of Little Rock, in the State of Arkansas,
hereinafter described have petitioned the City Council to take
steps toward the making of a local improvement in said City by
forming said territory into an improvement district for the
purpose hereinafter set forth.
NOW, TIMIZEFOt`S, Be it Ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That all of the real property situated within
the following boundaries, to -wit:
Lots. 4 to 9, inclusive, Block 1;
Lots 4 to 12, inclusive, Block 2;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Block 3;
Lots 1,2,3,7,13,9,10,11,12, Block 7;
Lots 1 to 12, inclusive, Block 6;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Block 5;
All in Patrick Powers Addition.
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Block 2;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, Block 3;
All in Jones & Worthen Addition.
be and the same is hereby laid off and formed into a local im-
provement district, for the purpose of constructing concrete
sidewalks on the East and 'Test sides of Johnson Street from the
North property line of -lest 11th Street to the South property
line of `.Pest 8th Street and on the East and :West silos of Booker
Street from the South property line of best 9th Street to the
North boundary line of Jones.-'_- Worthen Addition and on the North
and South sides of 'West 9th Street from Johnson Street to Woodrew
Street, and doing all necessary grading and draining, and all other
work that may be necessary for the successful construction thereof
in such manner asi:',- -the commissioners to be appointed shall datermine
to be for the best interests of the District; and that said District
be designated as Side walk_ Improvement District No.aof the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
