HomeMy WebLinkAbout3931r .y 1 ORDINANCE NO. 3 AN ORDINANCE Re- assessing the Value of the Benefits to be Received by the Owners of Each of the Several Blocks, Lots, and Parcels of Land Within Street Improvement District No. 270 of the City of Lit- tle Rock, Arkansas. WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property owners owning § property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District No. 270 of the City of Little Rock, Ark- ansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements there- in by grading and paving with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulith- F ic, bituminous macadam, or any other material which the commission- ers may deem best, Cedar Street from r rospect Avenue to Asher Avenue, or the Hot Springs Pike (excepting the intersections of streets here- tofore paved) and West Tenth Street from Lewis Street to Oak Street, and Oak Street from West Tenth Street to West Thirteenth Street, have petitioned the City Council of Little Rock, for the construction of said improvements as changed, and that the cost thereof shall be as- sessed upon the real property within said district according to the benefits received; and, W1iEREAS91 said benefits received by each and every block, lot, and parcel of real property situated within said district e- quals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and, WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvements as provid- ed in the revised or changed plans, exclusive of interest, is s 1 &,408.00; „. ,q THEREFORE, it is now ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. That said several blocks, lots, and•parcels of real property in said Street Improvement District No. 270 be and they Page.2 - Ordinance No- 3931 - are hereby re- assessed according to the re- assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, and as the same may be annual- ly readjusted by the board of assessors, and that five (5) per centum of said re- assessment of value of benefits of each of said blocks, lots, and parcels of land shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of March of each year, for the ensuing and consecutive^s'ev enteen (17) years, beginning with 1926, until eighty -five (85) per centum of said re- assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or before the 1st day of March, 1926. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Passe Attel mayor. �n
