HERRAS, The Mayor and City Council of the City of Little
Rook did, on December 10, 1900, pass Ordinance No. 834, relative
to the matter mentioned in the oaption, the first section of
said Ordinance reading as follows:.
a Se otion 1. That the St. Louis, Iron RD' ant ain &
Southern Railway be, and the saute are hereby, ,aatborized
and empowered to lay a spur track in the eastern part of
the city of Little hook, leaving its main line at a
point near the property of the union Compress` ftaw
and running thenoe north along the line of Fast 'street,
across Second street to , the south line of said block
]nineteen i19), with a switch or side track leaving said
spur traok at a point a short distance south of Second
street, and running thence in a northeasterly direction
to the south line of said blook nineteen (19), said '

Of the Capital Farnitare Manufaoturing Company, and the
general public; but said railway in laying said spur
and side tracks is, at its own expense, to conform to
the grades of said streets, as the same are now or may
hereafter be fixed by the city oounoil. Provided,
that said St. Luis, Iron Mountain & Southern Railway
Company shall pay to the oity of Little Book the sum
of one dollar per annum in advance for said privilege.
And provided further, that all rights granted said rails
way hereunder shall oeass and determine on and after
twenty five years from the date of the passage of this
.ordinance.
AND WHERUS, The St. Louie, Iron Mountain & Southern
Railway Company did build and construct the spur track along t
the lines mentioned in said Ordinance, and is now maintaining
and operating said spur track, and whereas the privileges grant-

ed in said Ordinance did., expire on December 10, 1925, and
whereas the Missoari Paoifio Railroad ' Company is now the
sacoessor of -the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & 80athern Railway
Company, and whereas it is necessary to extend said Ordinance
so that said last mentioned railroad may maintain and operate
the sane for the benefit of the pablio, and whereas the
maintenanoe and operation of said spar track is necessary
for the benefit of the pablio and also to reach and serve the
Capital Purnitare Manafaotaring Company, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OP THIS
CITY OP LITTLE BOOK, ARKANSAS:
section 1. That the terms and conditions of said Ordi-
nano* No 824 are hereby amended so as to permit the Missoari
Paoifio Railroad Company to Maintain and operate said spar
track along the lines mentioned in said Ordinanoe No. 824 fox

section 2. This Ordinance is to take effeot and be
in force from and after its passage,
