AN ORDINANCE AX=ING ORDINANCE NO. 3898 OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCS, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 3898 of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas
passed on October 26, 1925, duly approved by the Mayor, attested by the Qity
Clerk, and published on the 29th day of October, 1925, the City Council levied
an annual assessment of eight percentum (8,%) for the year 1926 and seven per -
oentum (7 %) for the years 1927 and 1928, and six and one -half percentum (612%)
for the years 1929 to 1940 inclusive, of the assessed values of benefits, in
Street Improvement District loo. 426 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
Whereas, it now appears that said annual rates,or installments of the
assessments of benefits, are higher than are necessary to pay the annual indebted-
ness of said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION It That Section 1 of said Ordinance No. 3898 of the ordinances
of the City of Little Rock be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1: That the several blocks, lots and pareels of real property
in said district be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement
district as the same now remains in the of fice of the City Clerk, and as the same
may be arnually re- adjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that six percentum (6°D)
on each of said blocks, lots and parcels shall be paid annually on or before the
15th day of January of each year until the whole of said assessment shall have been
paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or before the 15th day of January,
1926."
SECTION 2: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
