AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CERTAIN PORTION,
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, AMANSAS, TO STREET I TROVE -
hTNT DISTRICT NO. 415 OF SAID CITY.
wHEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority in value
of the owners of real property within the territory herein-
after described, which property adjoins Street Improvement
District No. 415 of Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created
and existing improvement district in said city, desire to
be added to and included in said improvement district and
have filed a -petition with the City Council of the City of
Little hock, Arkansas, praying that said territory be annexed
to said improvement district, have designated the nature of
the improvement to be undertaken and have described the ter -
ritory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS. the City Council has directed the City ^,lerk
to publish for t -!o weeks in some newspa: er iss-aed and having
general circulation in Pulaski County, a notice calling upon
the property owners within said territory to appear before
this Uouncil on this day and show cause for or against such
annexation, and
VEiEREAS, such notice has been duly published and this
is the time for the hearing to determine whether those sign-
ing said petition constitute the majority in value of the
owners of real property in said territory, and
WHEREAS, this Oouncil has heard all persons mho desire
to be heard upon the question of whether the signers of said
petition constitute such a majority;
THE IEFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TAW CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That this City Council has ascertained that
the signers of the petition to annex the property hereinafter
described to Street Improvement District No. 415 of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, do constitute a majority in value of
the owners of real property within the territory sought to be
annexed; that said petition for the annexation of said terri-
tory is in due form and properly signed by a majority of the
owners of real property as required by law.
SECTION 2. That all that real property described as
follows:
'Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, of Block 9; hots
it 20 3, 149 15, and 16 of Block 10, in
0. F. Sheldon's Addition; Lots 4 to 9, in-
clusive, of Block 6, and Lots 1, 2, 39 109
11, and 12 of Block 7, in Oak Terrace Addi-
tion; Lots 1 and 12 of Block 10 of McCarthy's
Addition,
be and the same is hereby added to and an exed to Street
Improvement District No. 415 of Little Kock, and the commission-
ers of said district shall prooeed to make the improvements
petitioned for by grading, draining, curbing, guttering and pav-
ing,in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners
of said district shall determine to be for the best interests
of the territory hereby annexed . ':test 24th Street from the
west line of Battery Street to the east line of Schiller Street.
SECTION 3. That said territory hereby annexed shall be
known as the West 24th Street Annex to Street Im- wovemen t Dis-
trict No. 415 of Little Kock, Arkansas,
SECTION 4. That the commissioners shall make the assess-
ment of benefits for said improvements on the lots, blocks,
or parcels of real property in the territory herein annexed on
the same basis as if said territory were included in the origim 1
district and shall file said assessments with the City Clerk.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and the

City Clerk its hereby ordered within twenty days after the
passage of this ordinance to publish the same in some news-
paper published in the City of Little hock for one insertion.
