WHEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority
in value of the owners of real property within the
`territory hereinafter described, which property adjoins
Street Iraprove:aent District 17,o. 400, of Litltle Rock,
Arkansas, a duly created ar�d d

district in said City, desire 'Jar, said property be
added to and included in said improvement district, have
designated the nature of the improvement to be undertaken
and have described the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City
Clerk to publish for two weeks in some newspaper issued
and having a general circulation in Pulaski County, Ark -
ansas, a notice calling upon the property owners within
said territory to appear before this Council on this day
and show cause for or against such annexation, and .
WHEREAS, such notice has been dull published
and this is the time for the 'nearing to determine ifliether
those signing; said petition constitute the majority in
value of the owners of real property in said territory,
and,

Section 1. That the City Council has ascertained
wAdheoreb� f;M\ sthat the signers of t'rr.e petition to annex the property
hereinafter described to Street Ir:proverlent District ?o. 400,
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do constitute a
najority in value of the owners of real property within the
territory sought to be annexed; that said petition for the
annexation of said territory,is in due form of law and
properly signed by a majority of the otiners of real prop-
erty as required by law.
Section 2. That all real property lying within
one hundred fifty (150 feet west of tiie ciest property
line and all real property lying �rithin one hundred fifty
(150) feet east of the east property line, respectively,
of Izard Street from the south property line of West Third
Street running south to the north property line of Wett
Capitol Avenue, all in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, be and the saa:re hereby is added to and
anne,.ed to Street Improvement District !Io. 400, of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and the Commissioners of said District
shall proceed to make the .- ,orovements petitioned for by ,
grading, draining, curb in£ , guttering,; and paving with
concrete, brick, Varrenite- itulitilic, or such other
rlatcrials as the CoLzaissioners of said District shall
deteri.rine to be for the best interests of the territory
hereby annexed: Izard Street frog:: the south property line

Section 3. That said territory hereby annexed
shall be known as the Izard Street Annex to Street Im-
prove lent District No. 400, of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 4. That the Commissioners shall slake the
as,sess.nent of benefits for said i prove: ent on the lots,
blocks or parcels of real property in the territory herein
annexed, on the same basis as if said territory were
included in the original District, and shall file said
assessment with the City Clerk.
Section 5. That all Ordinances or parts of
Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and
this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after its passage, and the City Clerk is hereby ordered
within twenty days after the passage of this Ordinance to
publish sarie in some newspaper published in the City of
Little Roc:,, Arhansas , for one insertion.
