3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO STUDIO - WERK, PLLC IN
4 THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $89,916.00 FOR CAROUSEL HORSE
5 RESTORATION FOR THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
6 MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH STUDIO - WERK, PLLC
7 FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the carousel horses on the Over - the -Jumps antique carousel at the Little Rock Zoo
10 are in need of repair and restoration, and
11 WHEREAS, the City recently issued and advertised a Request for Proposals for restoration of
12 the horses and Studio — Werk, PLLC submitted the lowest responsible bid, and
13 WHEREAS, Studio — Werk, PLLC was selected to perform the restoration work and it represents
14 that it is capable of and desirous of performing the needed services.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
16 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a contract to Studio — Werk, PLLC for repair
18 and restoration of _ horses on Over - the - Jumps, the Arkansas Carousel, located at the Little Rock Zoo in
19 an amount not to exceed Eighty -None Thousand, Nine Hundred and Sixteen Dollars ($89,916.00). The
20 City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Studio — Werk, PLLC for such work in a form
21 acceptable to the City Attorney and with the contract to be signed within thirty (30) days.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
23 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
28 resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
