3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO USI CONSULTING
4 ENGINEERS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE WETLAND
5 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas owns wetland acreage along the Arkansas River in
8 downtown Little Rock and an Arkansas Natural Resources Commission grant, a State Wildlife Grant and
9 donations are available for funding towards restoration of the wetlands; and
10 WHEREAS, engineering services are needed to prepare construction documents for the project; and
11 USI Consulting Engineers were selected through a request for qualification (Bid Number 9201) as the
12 most qualified firm for the project.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with USI Consulting
16 Engineers to provide engineering services for preparation of construction documents for the project.
17 Section 2. Funding for this contract is available from an Arkansas Natural Resources grant and
18 donation to the project. Amount for services: $147,400.00 ($134,000, plus 10% contingencies).
19 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
20 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
21 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
22 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
23 resolution.
24 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
25 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
26 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
