RESOLUTION NO. 12,936
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO ENTER
INTO A RENTAL CONTRACT WITH XEROX CORPORATION, THROUGH
THE STATE OF ARKANSAS CONTRACT #072190900, FOR RENTAL OF A
COLOR COPIER FOR THE PRINT SHOP; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Print Shop is in need of a Xerox Docucolor 252 Color Copier; and
WHEREAS, LRR #10,255 (April 28, 1998) provides for the City to participate in State
Contracts to obtain necessary equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Xerox Docuclolar 252 Color Copier can be obtained through the State
Contract for approximately Sixty -five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00) per year; and
WHEREAS, the contract for this equipment will have a funding -out clause, whereby the
City is only obligated for one year after which the contract may be cancelled if funding is not
available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the Finance Director to enter into
a rental agreement through State of Arkansas Contract #072190900, for a three -year rental of a
Xerox Docucolor 252 Color Copier for the approximate yearly cost of Sixty -five Thousand Dollars
($65,000.00), with the provision that the contract can be cancelled after one (1) year if
funding is not available.
Section 2. Funds for the rental of the Xerox Color Copier are available in the 2009
Print Shop Budget, Account #102555 - 65110.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the
resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
