RESOLUTION NO. 12,937
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH IBM CORPORATION, THROUGH THE ARKANSAS STATE
IBM WSCA COMPUTER CONTRACT #A63311, TO PROVIDE A SAN
STORAGE SYSTEM FOR THE PURPOSE OF REMOTE BACKUPS FOR ALL
CITY DEPARTMENTS,; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department must have a SAN Storage System
for the purpose of remote backups for all City departments, which will add offsite storage for
disaster recovery; and
WHEREAS, the total cost for utilizing the State Contract for the purchase of the SAN
Storage System is Sixty Thousand, One Hundred Thirty -seven and 01/100 Dollars ($60,137.01),
plus fees and taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a
contract with the IBM Corporation for the purchase of a SAN Storage System for the Information
Technology Department to provide remote backups for all City departments, in the amount of
Sixty Thousand, One Hundred Thirty -seven and 01/100 Dollars ($60,137.01), plus fees and
taxes;
Section 2. The Information Technology Department will fund the purchase of the
system with the 100% Federal FY07 Homeland Security Grant.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the
resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
