3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH CARRIER CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2)
5 SEVENTY TON CHILLERS FOR CITY HALL, FOR THE AMOUNT OF SEVENTY -SIX
6 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY -TWO DOLLARS ($76,272.00); AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid #8264 was issued for the purchase of two 70 -Ton Chillers to replace the
10 exterior part of the HVAC system that cools City Hall, and Carrier Corporation submitted the only bid in
11 the amount of Seventy -six Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy -two Dollars ($76,272.00);
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
13 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
15 Carrier Corporation, to supply two 70 -Ton Chillers to replace the exterior part of the HVAC system for
16 City Hall, in the amount of Seventy -six Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy -two Dollars ($76,272.00).
17 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from 2008 Short Term Financing.
18 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
19 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
20 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
21 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not
22 originally a part of the resolution.
23 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
24 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
