3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH TRI STATE TRUCK CENTER FOR THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN
5 (7) 30- CUBIC -YARD SIDE -LOAD REFUSE TRUCKS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department is in need of seven (7) 30- cubic -yard side -load refuse
8 trucks, and
9 WHEREAS, these refuse trucks will replace older equipment with high maintenance expenses, and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of seven (7) 30- cubic -yard side -
11 load refuse trucks, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from Tri State Truck
12 Center in the amount of One Million, Six Hundred Seventy -five Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty -nine
13 Dollars ($1,675,429.00);
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for
17 the purchase of seven (7) 30- cubic -yard side -load refuse trucks, for the amount of One Million, Six
18 Hundred Seventy -five Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty -nine Dollars ($1,675,429.00).
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the Public Works Solid Waste
20 Collection Account No. 603110 - 72300.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
22 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
23 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
24 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not
25 originally a part of the resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
27 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
