RESOLUTION NO. 20,063 Fees $25.00
UTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER, AND
CITY CLERK, TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COM-
PLETE THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT 3917 WEST 12TH STREET IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE AMOUNT OF
FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($ 450,000) TO BE
USED AS A POLICE SUBSTATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors, upon recommendation of the City Manager, has con-
cluded that a police substation in the mid -town area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, would
be a viable tool in the City's efforts to maintain public safety; and,
WHEREAS, a location at the commonly known address of 3917 West 12th Street, has be-
14 come available which would serve this public safety goal; and,
15 WHEREAS, the owner and the City have agreed upon a purchase price of four hundred and
16 fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) for the purchase of this property; and,
17 WHEREAS, this agreement must be acted upon promptly to secure the location for the City,
18 and to assure certain real estate and tax issues for the owner are met;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Mayor, City Manager, and City Clerk, are authorized to offer and spend the
22 sum of four hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) for the purchase of property located at
23 3917 West 12th Street, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and which is more specifically iden-
24 tified in the property description attached as Exhibit A to this resolution.
25 Section 2. The Mayor, City Manager, and City Clerk, are authorized to execute any and all
26 documents necessary, or properly requested, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for the
27 purchase of this property.
28 Section 3. The funds for this purchase are available in Account No. F2277371.
29 Section 4. Because time is of the essence for the seller, the Mayor, City Manager, and City
30 Clerk, are directed to complete this purchase agreement as soon as possible, and in no event, no
31 later than December 31, 2008.

Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitu-
tional was not originally a part of the resolution.
Section 6. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are incon-
sistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsis-
tency.
