2 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE 2009 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR CDBG,
3 HOME AND ADDI FUNDS; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE
4 ACTION PLAN FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING Ft
5 URBAN DEVELOPMENT;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
6 WHEREAS, the City has access to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME, and ADDI
7 funds on an annual basis, and
8 WHEREAS, the use of these monies mandates that an action plan be submitted to the U.S.
9 Department of Housing I* Urban Development by November 15, 2008, in accordance with Title I of the
10 Cranston - Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, and
11 WHEREAS, after extensive public discussion and citizen participation, including neighborhood
12 meetings, and a public hearing, a plan has been developed for submission;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
14 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the 2009 Action Plan for the use of CDBG,
16 HOME and ADDI Entitlement Funds to the U.S. Department of Housing Et Urban Development, by
17 November 15, 2008, in accordance with the provisions of the Cranston - Gonzalez National Affordable
18 Housing Act of 1990.
19 Section 2. The projected uses of these funds were approved by adoption of Little Rock, Ark.
20 Resolution No. 12,744 (August 19, 2008).
21 Section 3. Severabitity. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
22 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
23 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
24 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
25 originally a part of the resolution.
26 Section 4. Repeater. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
27 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
