3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO AMR CONSTRUCTION LLC FOR
4 THE PROVISION OF A METAL BUILDING AND ERECTION OF THE METAL
5 BUILDING IN A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $ 109,019; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
6 MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposal No. 8245 for the provision of a metal
11 building for the Elephant Exhibit Expansion for the Little Rock Zoo and a separate Request for Proposals
12 No. 8246 for the erection of such a building, and
13 WHEREAS, AMR Construction LLC was the successful low bidder for both requests for
14 proposals, with a bid of $60,679.00 for the provision of the building and a bid of $48,340.00 for the
15 work to erect the building, and
16 WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into a contract with AMR Construction LLC covering the
17 provision and erection of the building so that the needed Elephant Exhibit Expansion can proceed.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
19 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a contract to AMR Construction LLC in the
21 amount of $60,679.00 for the provision of a metal building for the Elephant Exhibit Expansion and
22 awards a contract for to AMR Construction LLC in the amount of $48,340 for work to erect the metal
23 building. The Board authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with AMR Construction LLC, in
24 a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for the provision and erection of the metal building for the
25 above - stated amounts.
26 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
27 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
28 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain
29 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not
30 originally a part of the resolution.
31 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
32 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
