RESOLUTION NO. 12,730
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF READY MIX CONCRETE FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal bid to solicit proposals for an annual contract for ready mix
concrete for the Street Department, and the most responsible and responsive bid was received was
from Martin Marietta.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a agreement with Martin Marietta in an
approximate amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) for the annual contract for ready
mix concrete for the Street Department.
Section 2: This contract shall be for one year from the date of the award, with the provision that
it may be extended yearly for two (2) additional years upon agreement of both parties.
Section 3. Funds for this agreement are available in accounts 205409 - 61020- SOOT483 (Concrete
Ramp Program), and 204003 -61020 (Streets, Alleys, and Bridges).
Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of
this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
