A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT &
MAINTENANCE FOR VEHICLE TRAFFIC
SIGNAL DETECTION LOOPS AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS CITYWIDE
WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the installation of Traffic Signal Vehicle Detection
Loops, Bid #08 -236, to replace defective loops citywide and,
AND, Construction Management & Maintenance submitted the lowest responsible bid,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
Construction Management & Maintenance for installation of Vehicle Detection Loops at
various locations citywide.
SECTION 2. Funding for the project is available from 2008 budget maintenance
accounts. Amount for construction services: $98,701.24 ($89,728.40 plus 10%
contingencies).
SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared
or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.
SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
adoption.
