A RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE LITTLE ROCK PLANNING
COMMISSION'S APPROVAL OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
TO ALLOW LITTLE ROCK MONTESSORI SCHOOL LOCATED
AT 3704 WOODLAND HEIGHTS ROAD TO INCREASE STUDENT
ENROLLMENT AND TO EXPAND ONTO THE R -2 ZONED
RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 11701 PLEASANT
FOREST DRIVE. (Z- 5683 -C)
WHEREAS, an application for conditional use permit was filed by Little Rock
Montessori School located at 3704 Woodland Heights Road to allow for an increase in student
enrollment and to allow for expansion of the school onto the R -2 zoned residential property
located at 11701 Pleasant Forest Drive; and,
WHEREAS, at its April 10, 2008 meeting, the Little Rock Planning Commission
approved said conditional use permit by a vote of 10 ayes, 0 noes and 1 absent; and,
WHEREAS, a record objector has appealed the action of the Little Rock Planning
Commission in approving said conditional use permit; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas has determined
the action of the Little Rock Planning Commission in approving said conditional use permit to be
inappropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The action of the City of Little Rock Planning Commission in approving
the Little Rock Montessori School conditional use permit (Z- 5683 -C) is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2. Said conditional use permit is hereby denied.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
