3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH RP POWERS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) EMERGENCY
5 GENERATORS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Police Department needs to replace worn out and costly emergency generators
8 located at the Chenal Repeater Station and the Ozark Point Repeater Station, and
9 WHEREAS, the generators will supply power to the City -wide radio towers in the event of an
10 emergency, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock advertised for bids for the purchase of two (2) emergency
12 generators and RP Powers was the sole bidder in the amount of One Hundred Four Thousand, Nine
13 Hundred Dollars ($104,900.00) plus tax;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Sectionl. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
17 RP Powers for the purchase of two (2) emergency generators for the amount of One Hundred Four
18 Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars ($104,900.00) plus tax.
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2004 Bond interest accounts.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
21 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
22 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
23 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not
24 originally a part of the resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
26 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
