RESOLUTION NO. 12,690
A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF LITTE ROCK
TO UTILIZE FEDERAL -AID HIGH PRIORITY PROJECT FUNDS TO CONTINUE
VARIOUS TRAIL PROJECTS FROM EAST LITTLE ROCK TO PINNACLE
MOUNTAIN; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock understands that there are federal -aid high priority funds to
continue acquisition and construction of trail facilities from East Little Rock to Pinnacle Mountain State
Park, and
WHEREAS, six of the seventeen miles between East Little Rock and Pinnacle Mountain State Park
have been developed to date, and
WHEREAS, the amount of the City's 20% match of the project cost will be identified prior to use of
AHTD funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibilities of the
project.
Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.
Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and
Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this project.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
