HomeMy WebLinkAbout126821 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 RESOLUTION NO. 12682 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE AGREEMENT WITH RISK MANAGEMENT RESOURCES TO PROVIDE WORKERS' COMPENSATION ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO THE CITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City has operated a self - funded Workers' Compensation Program since 1985 and a third party administrator is necessary to process claims and assist in operation of the plan, and WHEREAS, the incumbent provider of these services, Risk Management Resources, has submitted a proposal for renewal of the contract for a two -year period effective July 1, 2008, at no increase in cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the agreement for a two -year period with Risk Management Resources to provide administrative services for the City's self - insured Workers' Compensation Program for the period from July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2010, at no increase in cost. Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in 2008 City Budget line item for Workers' Compensation costs. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
