RESOLUTION NO. 12,678
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN SOLUTIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
FIRE DEPARTMENT JOB SHIRTS FOR DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Fire Department are obligated under contract
with the IAFF /Local 34 to provide two job shirts every three years to each member of the department
and 2008 is the designated year for this purchase, and
WHEREAS, by agreement between the IAFF and the Little Rock Fire Department, one job shirt will
be purchased for each member in 2008 and one in 2009, and
WHEREAS, the annual contract will not exceed Seventeen Thousand Dollars ($17,000.00) per year
and will be renewable annually for four (4) years, upon agreement of both parties.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual
contract with American Solutions for the purchase of Fire Department job shirts, in an amount not to
exceed Seventeen Thousand Dollars ($17,000.00) per year.
Section 2. The contract will be renewable annually for four (4) years upon agreement of both
parties.
Section 3. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the Fire Department general budget.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 5. Repeater. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
