3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT A SUCCESSOR COMMISSIONER TO FILL A VA-
4 CANCY ON THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE RIVERDALE LEVEE IM-
5 PROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 134 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Riverdale Levee Improvement District No. 134 of Little
9 Rock, Arkansas has represented that Charles W. Letzig, one of the three commissioners of said board,
10 has resigned effective February 1, 2008, and
11 WHEREAS, the two remaining commissioners recommend that the City appoint Mr. Steve A. Kava-
12 naugh, a Vice - President of Alltel Corporation, a property owner in the district, to fill the vacancy cre-
13 ated by Mr. Letzig's resignation.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby appoints Mr. Steve A. Kavanaugh as a Commissioner and
17 a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Riverdale Levee Improvement District No. 134 of the
18 City of Little Rock.
19 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
20 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decla-
21 ration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in
22 full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not origi-
23 natty a part of the resolution.
24 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsis-
25 tent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
