HomeMy WebLinkAbout126481 RESOLUTION NO. 12,648 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A 4 THREE -YEAR RENEWAL CORE CAL MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH SHI, INC. 5 IN THE MAXIMUM TOTAL AMOUNT OF $147,234.15 FOR CURRENT USERS; TO 6 ALLOW ADDITIONAL PAYMENT FOR ANY FUTURE ADDITIONAL USERS ON A 7 PER -USER BASIS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City has certain core Client Access Licenses for Microsoft software applications that 10 allow all 1400 of the City's computer users to connect legally to all City servers with the most current 11 version of software that supports email, file shares, system management services and share point, and 12 WHEREAS, such services continue to be needed beyond the impending expiration of the current 13 licenses, and 14 WHEREAS, the IT Department has determined that a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement renewal using 15 the State purchasing contract No. SP -02 -0422 will be most cost - effective for the City and that it will 16 allow for any additional City users in future years of the contract to be connected at an additional 17 reasonable cost as provided in the State purchasing contract. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE 19 ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a three -year Microsoft Enterprise 21 Agreement renewal for core Client Access Licenses with SHI, Inc., in a form acceptable to the City 22 Attorney, in the maximum total contract amount of $147,234.15 for the City's current 1400 users, with 23 the allowance of payment of an additional per -user charge for additional future users, if any, in future 24 years of the contract. Such additional costs shall be determined by the state purchasing contract in 25 effect. 26 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 27 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 28 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain 29 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not 30 originally a part of the resolution. 31 Section 3. Repealer.
