3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF
4 ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO
5 PROVIDE FOR A DEFERRAL OF MASTER STREET PLAN
6 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS FOR KANIS ROAD; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
10 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
11 Section 1. That Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances is amended to provide
12 for a five -year deferral of certain requirements within the Master Street Plan for Taylor
13 Park Subdivision on the south side of Kanis Road just east of Asbury Road.
14 Subsection a. Chapter 30 Article VI requiring developers to
15 construct roadway improvements to the requirements of the Master Street Plan
16 will be partially deferred for a period of five years or until adjacent development
17 occurs. The specific deferral is for widening and improving a portion of Kanis
18 Road to minor arterial standards.
19 Subsection b. The developer will construct a left turn lane on Kanis with
20 the first phase of subdivision development. The remainder of the Master Street
21 Plan improvements to Kanis will be deferred as described in Subsection a.
22 Subsection c. A dedication of right -of -way 45 feet from centerline will be
23 required to be shown on the plat to meet the Master Street Plan.
24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

portions of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this
ordinance.
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or resolutions of the City in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
