RESOLUTION NO. 12,097
3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE USE OF UP TO $250,000 IN 2004
4 BOND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS FOR CAPITOL AVENUE
5 IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, voters in 2003 voted to continue a long- assessed property tax for the
8 purpose of funding a Capital Improvement Program, and
9 WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Program allocated $1,000,000 for Street
10 Improvements for Economic Development, and
1 I WHEREAS, the Downtown Partnership has requested and the Project Progress
12 Committee has endorsed up to $250,000 of the Economic Development Funds to be
13 used for improvements to Capitol Avenue between Main Street & Center Street.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a Memorandum of
17 Agreement with the Downtown Partnership and to spend up to $250,000 in 2004 Bond
18 Capital Improvement funds for improvement to Capitol Avenue between Main Street
19 and Center Street.
20 Section 2. Funding for the project is available from 314 - 220 -SR21.
21 Section 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date
22 of its adoption.
