3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR 2004 BOND PROJECT LEE AND
4 FAIRFAX DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for 2004 Bond Project Lee and Fairfax Drainage Improvements,
7 under Bid No.07 -222, and
8 WHEREAS, Township Builders, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid for construction services in
9 the amount of $152,962.70 ($139,057.00 plus 10% contingencies), and
10 WHEREAS, as a result of savings from other projects approved for the 2004 Limited General
11 Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds, additional monies are available for similar projects;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
13 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Township
15 Builders, Inc. for construction of Lee and Fairfax Drainage Improvements, Bid No.07 -222, in the amount
16 of $152,962.70 ($139,057.00 plus 10% contingencies).
17 Section 2. Funding for the project is available from remaining balances in 2004 Bond project
18 accounts.
19 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
20 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
21 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain

in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repeated to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
