RESOLUTION NO. 12,527
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE FIVE (5)
HALF -TON EXTENDED -CAB TRUCKS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM
GOSSETT MOTORS, THROUGH THE 2007 STATE CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Fire Department to replace five (5) older model Half -ton
Extended- Cab Trucks currently being operated by the Department, and
WHEREAS, the City has decided that it is in its best interest to purchase the trucks from
Gossett Motors through the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Gossett Motors
for the purchase of five (5) Half -ton Extended Cab Trucks for the Fire Department, for the amount of
Eighty -one Thousand, Three Hundred Three and 25/100 Dollars ($81,303.25) pursuant to the State
Purchasing Contract.
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2007 Short -term Financing Account
for the Little Rock Fire Department.
Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
