2 A RESOLUTION TO SET JUNE 19, 2007, AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC
3 HEARING ON THE ISSUANCE OF UP TO THREE MILLION DOLLARS
4 ($3,000,000) IN REVENUE BONDS FOR THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS LIBRARY
5 SYSTEM BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS RESIDENTIAL
6 HOUSING AND PUBLIC FACILITIES BOARD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the Public Facilities Boards Act (Ark. Code Ann. § 14- 137 -101 et seq., Michie
8 Repl. 1998 & Supp. 2005) permits public facilities boards to issue revenue bonds for the purpose
9 of financing public projects; and
10 WHEREAS, Central Arkansas Library System has proposed the issuance of up to three
11 million dollars ($3,000,000) in revenue bonds by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas Residential
12 Housing and Public Facilities Board for the purpose of financing capital improvement facilities
13 located at 405 - 409 -411 President Clinton Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201, for use by Central
14 Arkansas Library System for library and other public purposes; and
15 WHEREAS, the Revenue Bond Act of 1987 (Ark. Code Ann. § 19 -9 -601 et seq.; Michie
16 Repl. 1998 & Supp. 2005) requires public approval by the governmental unit on behalf of which
17 bonds are issued, following a public hearing for which reasonable public notice was provided;
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. A public hearing on the question of issuance of up to three million dollars
21 ($3,000,000) of revenue bonds by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas Residential Housing and
22 Public Facilities Board to be used for the propose of financing capital improvement facilities
23 located at 405- 409 -411 President Clinton Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201, for use by Central
24 Arkansas Library System for library and other public purposes, shall be held at 6:00 P.m., or as
25 soon as the item can be dealt with on the regular agenda of the Board of Directors, on Tuesday,
26 June 19, 2007, during the regular meeting of the Little Rock Board of Directors in the Board
27 Mecting Room on the second Floor of City Hall, 500 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas, and
28 all persons who wish to be heard on this issue shall be given the opportunity to comment.

1 Section 2. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Board of Directors may act to
2 adopt, modify, or amend a resolution to authorize the issuance of the bonds referred to in
3 Section 1 by the Public Facilities Board.
