2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
3 CONTRACT WITH XTRICATION EXTREME LLC FOR THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN
4 (7) SETS OF HYDRAULIC RESCUE TOOLS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
5 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
6 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need of seven (7) sets of Hydraulic Rescue Tools,
7 and
8 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has chosen to equip each Ladder Truck Company with
9 the same types of extrication tools, to allow interchangeability and consistent training and work scene
10 application, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the seven (7) sets of extrication
12 tools and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from Xtrication Xtreme LLC in the
13 amount of One Hundred Forty -eight Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety -nine Dollars ($148,799.00);
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
17 Xtrication Xtreme LLC for the purchase of seven (7) sets of Hydraulic Rescue Tools for the amount of
18 One Hundred Forty -eight Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety -nine Dollars ($148,799.00).
19 Section 2. Funding for this purchase will be from the Fire Department's 2006 and 2007 Short -term
20 Financing allocations.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
22 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
23 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
24 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
25 originally a part of the resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
27 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
