RESOLUTION NO. 12,505
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH THE HOUSTON -GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL COOPERATIVE
PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) TYMCO
REGENERATIVE AIR HIGH DUMP STREET SWEEPERS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of two (2) Tymco Regenerative Air High
Dump Street Sweepers, to replace two older model sweepers which are incurring high maintenance
costs and replacement parts are no longer available, and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has contracted with the Houston - Galveston Area Council (H-
GAC) Contract #SW04 -06 for the purchase of the street sweepers, and the lowest responsible and
responsive bid item on the contract would be in the amount of Three Hundred Fifty -nine Thousand,
Three Hundred Twenty and 16/100 Dollars ($359,320.16).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract,
through the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchase Agreement, for the purchase of two
(2) Tymco Regenerative Air High Dump Street Sweepers, in the amount of Three Hundred Fifty -nine
Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty and 16/100 Dollars ($359,320.16).
Section 2. Funds are to be allocated from 2007 Public Works Short Term Financing.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
