AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING THE 20 -FOOT WIDE ALLEY
CONNECTING 26TH STREET AND ROOSEVELT-- ROAD
BETWEEN COMMERCE AND SHERMAN STREETS IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; ABANDONING ANY
EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN THE ALLEY, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition for alley abandonment was filed with the City of
Little Rock ( "City") by Barnes, Quinn Flake and Anderson, agent for Baird, Inc.,
owner of all property abutting the alley connecting 26th Street and Roosevelt
Road between Commerce and Sherman Streets; and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the closing of this alley will
not have an adverse impact on the adjacent property owners nor the local traffic
as traffic can adequately proceed via adjacent streets, and therefore, the section of
alley closed by this ordinance is no longer needed for corporate purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons
all of the right -of -way of the City of Little Rock, together with the right of public
in general, in and to the alley right -of -way described as follows:
All of the right -of -way of the north -south alley connecting 26th
Street and Roosevelt Road between Commerce and Sherman
Streets in Block 3, Pettifer's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Section 2. The Board of Directors further abandons all of the utility and
drainage easements that may be located in the former right -of -way
30 alley.

1 Section 3. The owner of the property abutting the closed alley shall
2 bear the expenses associated with the removal and relocation of any utilities
3 located in the former alley.
4 Section 3. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk,
5 shall be filed in the real estate records of the recorder of the Circuit Clerk in ex
6 officio recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
