AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON EXCESS
RIGHTS -OF -WAY FOR COLONEL GLENN AND
LAWSON ROADS, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Whereas, a request was made by James W. Watkins and Crystal Fire
Department, property owners, to abandon the excess right -of -way described below
pursuant to the City's general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. § 14 -54-
104;
Whereas, the Board has determined that the abandoning of this portion of the
right -of -way at the southwest corner of the intersection of Colonel Glenn and Lawson
Roads as part of a planned development will not have an adverse impact on the
adjacent property owners nor the local traffic as traffic can adequately proceed at this
intersection, and therefore, the excess right -of -way abandoned by this ordinance is no
longer needed for corporate purposes except as otherwise noted below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the
23 excess right -of -way of the City of Little Rock, less and except the reserved public utility
24 easements, together with the right of public in general, in and to the street right -of -way
25 described as follows:

37 filed in the real estate records of the recorder of the Circuit Clerk in ex officio recorder
38 of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
