ORDINANCE NO. 18,661
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE A CONTRACT BETWEEN REBUILDING
TOGETHER CENTRAL ARKANSAS AND THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR
THE REBUILDING TOGETHER CENTRAL ARKANSAS PROGRAM WITHIN
THE CITY; TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, $21,449.00 Was carried over from the 2000 and 2001 Budgets to
provide funding for the Paint Your Heart Out Program which has been renamed
Rebuilding Together Central Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, numerous Central Arkansas organizations are contributing to the
program; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to contract with Rebuilding Together Central
Arkansas to purchase program materials and supplies, and to serve as the prime source of
support and public information regarding the program; and
WHEREAS, it is impractical and unfeasible to competitively bid for the
contractual aspects of any agreement between the City and Rebuilding Together Central
Arkansas,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contractual
agreement with Rebuilding Together Central Arkansas for the purpose of purchasing
program materials and supplies, and to serve as the prime source of support and public
information regarding the program, and to receive #21,449 for program support.
SECTION 2. Because the City can obtain these services through Rebuilding
Together Central Arkansas in the most effective manner, the Board of Directors finds it is
impractical and unfeasible to competitively bid for the services and products to be
included in the contract.
