ORDINANCE NO. 18,522
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 36 -342.1 (C)(il) OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS TO PERMIT A
GROUND - MOUNTED SIGN TO BE INSTALLED
ON THE URBAN USE ZONED PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 708 WEST 2ND STREET IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on March 1, 2000, the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas passed Ordinance No.
18,228 which created a new zoning district titled "UU"
Urban Use District and which also rezoned the urban core of
downtown Little Rock from Various Zoning Districts to "UU"
Urban Use, and
WHEREAS, Section 36 -342.1 (c)(11) of the Urban Use
District Development Criteria prohibits pole and monument
signs on "UU" Urban Use zoned properties, and
WHEREAS, the law firm of Gary Eubanks and Associates
desires to install a ground- mounted sign on its "UU" Urban
Use zoned property located at 708 West 2 °Q Street, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock has determined that request to be appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The provisions of Section 36 -342.1 (c)(11)
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas are hereby waived to permit a ground - mounted sign
to be installed on the "UU" Urban Use zoned property
located at 708 West 2a° Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. That the Ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force 30 days after the date of its passage and
approval.
SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title,
section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word
of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which
shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared to adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the ordinance.
SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,
resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.
